The Tiantan Comprehensive Stroke Center (TCSC), one of the national leading centers for the management of cerebral vascular disease, is a highly coordinated, multidisiplinary team and provide comprehensive evaluation, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitative services for ischemic stroke, hemorrhagic stroke and stroke complication. TCSC integrates the latest in medical technology with a multi-faceted approach including: vascular neurology, critical care medicine, emergency medicine, vascular neurosurgery, advanced diagnostic neuroradiology, interventional neuroradiology and rehabilitation neurology. Acute stroke care is provided by stroke neurologists (24/7) who treat eligible acute stroke patients with intravenous tissue plasminogen activator (t-PA) and select patients for interventional stroke therapy. Clinicians in TCSC are active in clinical trial research and collaborate with scientists from many and varied disciplines. TCSC ethics committee has been certified by the Strategic Initiative for Developing Capacity in Ethical Review (SIDCER).
