 Introduction for IMS

International Medical Service(IMS) of Beijing Tiantan Hospital (hereinafter referred to as IMs Tiantan) was officially established on October 6,2018, which is built on the basis of the original Special Outpatient Service and Special Comprehensive Ward. It is one of "the Pilot Institution of International Medical Reform in Beijing". IMS Tiantan is an independent building with a large scale, reasonable spatial layout, complete range of specialized departments, well-appointed functional supporting facilities and beautiful clinic environment. At present, IMS Tiantan has outpatient centers, multidisciplinary consultation centers, inpatients wards with more than 150beds, intensive care unit, operating rooms, neurological intervention operating rooms,radiography examination rooms including MRI and CT equipment, and multiple auxiliary examination rooms. With all these software resources and hardware facilities, IMS Tiantan has reached best configuration of international medical service of the high level municipal public hospital in China.

In order to cooperate with the overall diplomacy of China, the goal of "construction of two districts" and " construction of international communication center" in Beijing, IMS Tiantan cooperates with Beijing Diplomatic Service Bureau and Beijing Foreign Enterprise Human Resources Service Co., Ltd. With all these software resources and hardware facilities, IMS Tiantan has reached best configuration of international medical service of the high level municipal public hospital in China. Service Mode

Based on the functional orientation of the international medical service illustrated by Beijing Municipal Government, and taking full advantage of the double first discipline advantages of Neurology of Beijing Tiantan Hospital , we have introduced and learned from the internationally popular PHP management mode. PHP is a new medical management mode led by the chief expert, in the charge of the attending doctors, with the cooperation of PHP experts, the participation of foreign experts, and specialized & general nursing.

Outpatient Service

The outpatient department provides various medical service from Neurosurgery, neurology, neurological intervention,neuroimaging diagnosis, neuropathology, neurological intensive care, radiotherapy, gamma-ray therapy, internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and Gynecology, ophthalmology.neuropsychology. pain management, rehabilitation department, hyperbaric oxygen department and more than 50groups of characteristic multidisciplinary consultation.

2.Inpatient Service

Surgical ward

The surgical ward is mainly for surgical patients, especially neurosurgical department.

Internal medicine ward

Internal medicine ward mainly treats patients in neurology and general medicine.

General ward

The general ward is mainly for cadre patients, and hospitalized health management patients.

Comprehensive ward

The comprehensive ward provides service for patients with multidisciplinary surgeries, foreign patients and other patients in need.

3.Health Management Service (Physical Examination)

Outpatient physical examination carries out scientific prevention planning and systematic management for major diseases of the nervous system (cerebrovascular disease, cognitive impairment, Parkinson's disease, brain tumor, etc.)and common diseases such as cardiovascular disease. The contents of health management includes professional consultation, scale evaluation, biochemistry tests (such as blood glucose, blood lipid, liver function, kidney function and so on), coagulation function, inflammatory factors, immune function, vascular ultrasound of upper and lower limbs, cervical vascular ultrasound, echocardiography, coronary CTA or brain-heart combined CTA, magnetic resonance imaging and more optional items. For any abnormality found, specialist consultation can be arranged for scientific prevention strategy or systematic management. Therefore, whole process management of brain health could be realized combined with precise examinations, professional consultation, scientific risk assessment, targeted prevention, and early diagnosis.

Service team of inpatient health management is highly qualified. Senior professors and skilled specialists in various disciplines serve as residents in inpatient health management ward,along with selected nursing team. Equipped with most advanced instruments and strong technician force, inpatient health management is characterized by integrity of systemic examinations such as brain health, cardiovascular health, painless endoscopy and tumor special screening. All abnormal indicators will be analyzed by chief physician and further specialty consultation can be arranged if needed to provide corresponding diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or life style guidance. The aims of overall health management are early detection, early prevention and early intervention for underlying diseases.

4.Neuroimaging Center

The neuroimaging department in Beijing Tiantan Hospital is one of the national key discipline and the largest imaging center specializing in neuroscience in China. It is also famous for its well-equipped instruments and technology, including 11 MRI machines (6 of which are 3.0T), 9 DR machines, a digital image workstation and an intranet digital image transmission and storage system(PACS). All of these enable detailed inspection of multiple systems and the whole body of patients as well as precise diagnosis of diseases in early stage. IMS Tiantan not only shares these resources, but also independently runs a MRI room and a CT room just for clients here.

5.Ultrasonic Imaging Center

On the basis of Ultrasonic Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, which is a national key cultivation discipline and a chairman unit of Chinese Medical Association, Ultrasonic Imaging Center in IMS Tiantan is very competitive. It offers various ultrasonic examinations covering abdomen, heart, obstetrics and gynecology, superficial, vascular and intervention. The ultrasonic clinic and multidisciplinary consultation are also carried out here for the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases.

6.Painless Endoscopy Center

Painless Endoscopy Center of IMS Tiantan is combined with world-class endoscopic equipment and a skilled medical team of specialists to provide painless gastroscopy and entoeroscopy for early gastrointestinal cancer screening as well as corresponding operations such as endoscopic hemostasis, polypectomy, early cancer stripping,foreign body removal, placement of gastrointesinal stent or gastrojejunal nutrient tube, examination of endoscopic ultrasonography, removal of bile dust stones, stent placement for obstructive jaundice and so on.

7.Direct-billing Service

IMS Tiantan cooperates with more than 20 domestic and international high-end commercial insurance companies and medical insurance third-party companies. Direct-billing service for both outpatient and inpatient expenses are provided for customers from these companies. Customers don't need to pay by themselves after enjoying all priorities in consultations and examinations provided by IMS Tiantan, which will be settled between hospital and insurance company.
