Department of Movement Disorders
The Department of Movement Disorders is part of the Neurology Center of Beijing Tiantan Hospital and the National Clinical Research Center for Neurological Diseases. It is the first specialist center in China with Parkinson's disease, related movement disorder diseases, and brain atrophy as its primary diagnosis, treatment, and clinical research objectives. The specialty initiated the development of clinical diagnosis and treatment quality indicators for Parkinson's disease in China and is also the initiator and prominent director of specialty alliances such as the China Parkinson's Alliance and the China Neuromodulation Alliance, and has taken the lead in providing Parkinson's care outpatient services.
The Department of Movement Disorders medical team comprises specialist physicians and specialist nursing teams engaged in Parkinson's disease and various movement disorders. With the construction of Prof. Tao Feng's Parkinson's disease specialist team as the core, the team has established a tiered treatment of Parkinson's disease team clinic, a specialized clinic, a specialist clinic, special needs clinic, and Parkinson's consultation to provide advanced, comprehensive, reasonable and effective high-level medical services for patients with Parkinson's disease and movement disorder diseases.
Honor: The department has been awarded the title of Advanced Department of Tiantan Hospital for three consecutive years since its establishment and the title of Hospital-level Youth Civilization.
The Department of Movement Disorders currently has 34 beds, specializing in Parkinson's and other related movement disorders, and is the first in China to develop many advanced diagnostic techniques and new treatment methods. The medical team adheres to humanistic care and professionalism, applies the latest medical technology domestically and internationally, implements comprehensive clinical pathways and standardized treatment procedures, and strives to provide patients with high-quality medical services that meet individualized conditions and needs.

1. early and accurate diagnosis of Parkinson's disease by applying new imaging techniques and standardized drug evaluation techniques. 2. reasonable selection of patients with mid to late-stage Parkinson's disease suitable for brain pacemaker surgery by applying systematic evaluation methods. 3. treatment of Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndrome by applying non-invasive repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation techniques. 4. long-term diagnosis and treatment follow-up of Parkinson's and other movement disorder diseases, and provision of drugs, surgery, rehabilitation training, psychological guidance, and medical services, 5.
