The Catheter Intervention Department of Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, formerly known as the Catheter Room of Beijing Tiantan Hospital. The Catheter Room is the earliest in China specializing in treating cerebral and spinal vascular diseases. It has successfully intervened in tens of interventions for various neurological and vascular diseases. The department is currently responsible for interventional diagnostic and therapeutic tasks in all the hospital's clinical departments.

The Catheter Intervention Department has 1 physician, 9 technicians and 15 nurses, three catheter areas (one of which is China's most advanced neurosurgery composite operating room), and 9 sizeable advanced angiography machines. The department is a centrally-managed interventional center integrating neurological interventions, cardiovascular interventions, peripheral vascular interventions, oncological interventions, and other interventional surgeries.
