Beijing Tiantan Hospital's Four Groundbreaking Studies Unveiled at the 2023 International Stroke Conference

The International Stroke Conference 2023 (ISC2023), held from February 8th to 10th, showcased four major studies led by Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University. Two of these studies were concurrently published in the prestigious medical journals The Lancet and The New England Journal of Medicine, marking a strong start to 2023.

At this conference, top research teams from around the world will announce the latest research progress of 24 clinical trials and subgroup analyses (Late-breaking). Among these 24 studies, 6 are from China, of which 4 are led by Beijing Tiantan Hospital, Capital Medical University, accounting for one-sixth of all clinical research. It is uncommon for a single institution to contribute so many research results in the history of the International Stroke Conference. The "Tiantan Stroke Research Group," composed of the leaders of the 4 research teams, gave keynote speeches at the conference, presenting the "Tiantan voice" and "China voice" on the international stage.

The International Stroke Conference is a large-scale international conference dedicated to cerebrovascular diseases and brain science, hosted by the American Heart Association (AHA)/American Stroke Association (ASA). It focuses on the latest advancements and academic frontiers in basic stroke research, clinical research progress, prevention, rehabilitation, and treatment. This conference features 149 themed sessions, 69 special invited lectures, and 7 large-scale clinical research sessions on various topics.
